Job Start 3.1.11129.1456

Running SQL Server database jobs is no longer limited to IT people who have direct access to the SQL Server database management system. Non IT users can now start and run SQL Server database jobs from their own computer using Job Start. This has substantial benefits for business users who currently do not have the ability to load data into a database or retrieve data from a database on demand. This is often the case where the businessOCOs current system does not have a bulk update or extract facility. In these cases, users generally have to raise a help desk issue which is then passed to the IT department for completion. With Job Start installed, users can perform this task as and when required and as often as they wish. The result: information is immediately available to other users of the system or if you are extracting reports from the database, available on your computer. In addition to running database jobs, Job Start has an FTP facility which allows files to be copied to or from the database to any other network accessible location. This allows users to create a data file on their computer and then have it automatically copied to a location where the database can process it. This copying is performed at the same time as the database job is run. Job Start has 2 easy to use screens. One to select the file to copy via the FTP facility and another to select the job that is required to be run. Users can only see and run jobs for which they have been authorised for. At the completion of a job, users are advised of the success or failure of the job. Users of Job Start will enjoy the ease of use, flexibility and timeliness of this software in their everyday work life. Job Start is not only for non IT personal. IT people will find this a quicker way to kick off jobs than via SQL Server management Studio. Use it to perform database backups and when complete have the backup files copied to another location. Job Start: Where information is immediate.
